Meet the craftsman behind Traveling Hat Guitars

After dedicating 30 years to public safety, I found myself with a new chapter to write. The spark for Traveling Hat Guitars ignited when I stumbled upon a truly unique piece of wood at a local lumber company. Unsure of its purpose at first, my lifelong love of music took over, and I decided to transform it into a guitar. That moment of inspiration led to the design and creation of Guitar #1, and the rest, as they say, is history. What I love most is seeing a vision come to life in a tangible, musical form.

At Traveling Hat Guitars, we believe a guitar should be as much a work of art as it is a musical instrument. That's why we don't always stick to just a solid piece of wood. Our designs often combine many different unique woods, carefully selected for their grain, color, and acoustic properties, to create truly one-of-a-kind instruments.
